A Story That Started Thousands of Miles Away
During the COVID pandemic, founder Dr. Zach L. found himself unexpectedly stranded in Bali, Indonesia as international travel came to a halt. What initially seemed like a temporary inconvenience became an unexpected opportunity.
While living in Bali, he developed deep relationships with local artisans and manufacturers, eventually launching Bali Teak Collective — a company specializing in handcrafted teak furniture and home furnishings sourced directly from Indonesia.
The success of Bali Teak Collective opened the door to a new idea: bringing the same craftsmanship, authenticity, and storytelling to a product people gather around every day — the serving board.
